Biography

Elena Baker is a musician and educator based in Kingston, Ontario.

​

Elena studied the flute at the University of Toronto with Peg Albrecht and Camille Watts, graduating with honours. While in Toronto, Elena frequently worked as a flute clinician in schools around the GTA including De La Salle College and St. Clement's School. Upon graduation, Elena was nominated for a Governor General's Silver Medal for academic excellence.

Elena also holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Queen's University, where she was accepted into the Artist in Community Education program.  Following her graduation, Elena pursued a lifelong dream of living in France and taught English for a year through the French Ministry of Education. 

​

Elena teaches flute, piano, and theory lessons out of her home studio in Kingston, Ontario. She also works as the Director of Development for the Kingston Symphony Association. Elena is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association.
